Yemen : UAE Ministry of Defense Denies Allegations by Hadramout Governor

AbuDhabi -- The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates has categorically denied the claims made during a press conference by Hadramout Governor Salem Al-Hanbashi, alleging the discovery of weapons and explosives purportedly linked to the UAE at Al-Rayyan Airport in the city of Mukalla, Yemen.

The Ministry stressed that these allegations are entirely baseless and represent an unacceptable attempt to distort facts, mislead public opinion, and deliberately tarnish the reputation of the UAE Armed Forces, undermining their military commitments and well-documented record.

It further clarified that UAE forces had completed their full withdrawal from Yemen officially and publicly on January 3, 2026.

This withdrawal included the transfer of all equipment, weapons, and devices in accordance with established military procedures and recognized standards, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to transparency and adherence to international laws and norms.
