After a four-day drop in Apple shares by 23%, Microsoft has once again become the most valuable company in the world. According to the results of trading on Tuesday, April 8, its capitalization reached $2.64 trillion, while Apple's - $2.59 trillion. This is reported by CNBC.

Apple has been hit hardest by President Donald Trump's latest round of tariffs, due to its heavy reliance on Chinese suppliers. The Nasdaq has fallen 13% in four sessions, and UBS predicts that the new tariffs could push the price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the US up by $350.

Apple, Microsoft, and NVIDIA were all recently valued at more than $3 trillion, but the market downturn has caused some adjustments. Although Microsoft issued a weak forecast in January, Jefferies analysts recently named it one of the least vulnerable to tariff volatility.

Microsoft was already the leader in market value at the beginning of 2024, but then Apple quickly regained the lead.
