Earlier on Friday morning, Tomer-Yerushalmi was released to 10 days of house arrest and forbidden from contacting others involved in the Sde Teiman case.
Civilians did find former military advocate-general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi’s phone at Cliff Beach in Tel Aviv, the police confirmed on Friday.
The cellphone was handed over to officers who arrived at the scene. The device had disappeared five days earlier, when Tomer-Yerushalmi went missing on the beach shortly after she resigned from her post, admitting to leaking a classified video to the press last year.
“The device was found, police are on their way to the attorney-general,” MK Yitzhak Kreuzer (Otzma Yehudit) posted to X/Twitter following the discovery.

Earlier on Friday, Tomer-Yerushalmi was released to 10 days of house arrest and forbidden from contacting others involved in the Sde Teiman abuse case, in the framework of which the video was leaked.
Additionally, the former top IDF attorney was asked to make herself available to the Israel Police whenever required and to obtain the police’s permission before leaving her home to meet with her legal team.
The judge denied the press’s request to photograph Tomer-Yerushalmi during her hearing.
“The identity of the defendant is known. I understand the importance of media coverage, but there is no reason a photo of the suspect in court needs to be publicized.”
Tomer-Yerushalmi reportedly provided the access code to unlock her cellphone during her police interrogation, according to public broadcaster KAN.
