Car hits crowd in Passau, Germany, driver may have done it on purpose

A serious incident has occurred in the southern German city of Passau, where a man drove his car into a group of people, police authorities have confirmed..

The possibility that this action was intentional has not been ruled out, reports the DPA news agency.

The incident occurred at around 15:30 p.m. on Grünaustraße, near the main train station in the Bavarian city of three rivers. Police have arrested the driver.

As reported by the Passauer Neue Presse (PNP), the driver's wife (38) and daughter (5) are said to be among the injured.

Emergency services currently believe three people are seriously injured.
