Border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia have intensified, with 32 people on both sides reportedly killed.
The Cambodian Ministry of Defense announced that 13 people, including five soldiers and eight civilians, have been killed in the clashes and that more than 35,000 residents of the country’s border areas have been displaced.
On the other hand, Thailand reported the deaths of 19 people, including 13 civilians and six soldiers, and 62 people were injured in the clashes.
Thailand’s Ministry of Health also reported that more than 138,000 people have been evacuated from the country’s border areas.
These clashes, which have once again intensified between the military forces of the two countries, have increased concerns about the escalation of tensions and its humanitarian consequences.
