Beirut — Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern Lebanon Monday, according to local media reports.
The National News Agency (NNA) stated that the raids targeted areas along the Litani River, striking near the outskirts of Sarira and Baraz, causing heavy explosions and damage to agricultural lands.
The agency also reported intense Israeli aerial activity over the skies of Nabatieh and Iqlim al-Tuffah at medium altitude. This was accompanied by the continuous presence of hostile drones over Nabatieh, raising fears of further strikes.
Residents in nearby villages were forced to flee as bombardments intensified, while Lebanese authorities warned that the escalation threatens to destabilize fragile ceasefire arrangements along the border.
